MTB Girls Magazine — July 2026 Issue 18 Summary

June 2026 has been nothing short of incredible as race season continues to ramp up across the country. Everywhere we look, women and girls are flying down trails, chasing finish lines, building confidence, and proving that the future of mountain biking has never been brighter.

This issue celebrates some truly remarkable athletes and stories. Our legendary cover athlete, Larissa Connors, once again demonstrated the heart of a champion by taking on the grueling Unbound XL in Kansas, one of the toughest gravel races in the world. We also feature junior standout Emerson Ross, whose talent, determination, and passion for racing continue to inspire the next generation of riders.

Closer to home, we were back under the lights covering the Wednesday Night Dirt Crit Series, where the local racing community continues to grow week after week. We also returned to one of our favorite endurance events of the year, the Wente 8 Hour Race, a day filled with incredible competition, teamwork, and plenty of smiles on the trails.

Inside this issue, certified coach Kimberly Meredith returns with another edition of Coach Kim’s Corner, sharing practical tips and confidence-building skills to help riders take on new challenges, improve their technique, and enjoy every ride. We also dive into the science behind the innovative Flat Float Pedal with our partners at Eight Degree Pedals, take you to Bentonville for the latest riding adventures, and put the latest MTB mullet bike setup to the test in our newest bike review.

It has been another unforgettable month filled with incredible people, inspiring stories, exciting events, and unforgettable rides. As the season continues, we can’t wait to see where the trails lead next.

Keep riding, keep exploring, and keep inspiring each other. We’ll see you on the trail.
