MTB Girls Editorial MTB Girls Digital Magazine May 2026 Issue 17 | Cover Story: From Start Line to Finish Tape: Gabby Huffman’s Marinduro Story MTB Girls Issue 17 | May 2026Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible MTB moms out there. To the women balancing family, work, riding, racing, coaching, caregiving, and still finding the strength to show up for themselves and others, this month is for you. Thank you for leading by example and inspiring this community every single day.May was one of those unforgettable months that reminded us exactly why mountain biking is so special. We kicked things off live on the scene at the fourth annual Marin Enduro, now established as the biggest enduro race in California. Huge thanks to the Marin Trail Stewards for creating such an incredible event and bringing the community together on some of Marin’s most iconic trails. The energy at Camp Tamarancho was unreal, from the redwood climbs and buzzing start line to the excitement of racers pushing themselves through every stage. It was also such a pleasure meeting Gabby Huffman and her father Vernon Huffman. Watching Gabby defend her title and win the Pro e-bike category for the second year in a row was inspiring to witness firsthand. This month also marked the kickoff of our MTB Girls Co-Ed Ride Club in beautiful Moore Creek Park in St. Helena, California. A huge thank you and shout out to my incredible co-captain, certified coach Kim Meredith, for leading our second Sonoma County co-ed ride and bringing so much encouragement, experience, and positivity to the community. We were also proud to support the launch celebration at Old Caz Beer, where we gave away Eight Degree bike pedals and celebrated the new Anadale Tribute Ale and Anadale Trail Ale, with proceeds supporting future trail building in Sonoma County led by Friends of Trione-Annadel. We were also live at round two of the Wednesday Night Dirt Crit Series and cannot forget Wente, still one of the most fun eight-hour endurance races anywhere.Beyond California, this issue highlights incredible riders and leaders pushing the sport forward. Coach Andrew in Colorado shares lessons on leading successful group rides, Haley Dumke continues inspiring riders in Vail, and Dani Johnson reminds us there are no limits with her incredible background as a Ford stunt rider, horseback trainer, mountain biker, BMX racer, and dirt bike athlete.See alsoMagazine IssuesMTB Girls Magazine Issue 10 October 2025 | Special Edition Women’s Red Bull RampageSo much happened in May, and somehow it feels like we are only getting started.
