Tahnée Seagrave has once again proven her dominance in the downhill mountain biking world by clinching victory at the opening round of the 2025 UCI Downhill World Cup in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. Battling treacherous snow and mud conditions, Seagrave showcased her resilience and skill, finishing 1.711 seconds ahead of her closest competitor, Anna Newkirk 

From Chalet Dreams to World Cup Podiums

Born on June 15, 1995, in South London, Tahnée Seagrave’s journey into mountain biking began when her family moved to Morzine, France, at the age of eight. There, her parents ran a chalet that hosted professional riders, sparking her interest in the sport. By 2013, she had already made her mark by winning the Junior World Championship in Pietermaritzburg

Her early career was characterized by rapid progression, with multiple World Cup podiums and a reputation for fearless riding. However, the path wasn’t without obstacles. Injuries, including a significant concussion in 2022, tested her determination. Yet, Seagrave’s unwavering commitment saw her return stronger, culminating in her recent victory in Bielsko-Biała.
