Throwback Thursday: Gracey Hemstreet 1st Woman to Win Red Bull Hardline Course

On this #ThrowbackThursday, we celebrate a monumental moment in women’s mountain biking history. In February 2024, 19-year-old Gracey Hemstreet from Sechelt, British Columbia, became the first woman to complete and win the Red Bull Hardline course at Tasmania’s Maydena Bike Park.

This event, known for its grueling 2.3-kilometer track featuring a 75-foot canyon gap jump and a vertical elevation of 575 meters, had never before seen a female finisher in its decade-long history. Gracey’s achievement not only showcased her exceptional skill and determination but also marked a significant milestone for women in extreme mountain biking.

Her victory continues to inspire female riders to push boundaries and redefine what’s possible in the sport.
